By playing Anvil & Ember you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the game.

Your account

The game creates an anonymous account for you on first launch. That account exists only on our server and is identified by a random value stored on your device.

An anonymous account cannot be recovered. If you uninstall the game, wipe your device, or move to a new one without connecting a Google account first, that progress is gone and we have no way to find it. Connecting a Google account is the only recovery path.

Signing in with a Google account that already has progress will replace whatever is on your device with the progress attached to that Google account. This is not reversible.

Chat conduct

Global chat is shared by everyone playing. Do not:

• Use slurs, sexual content, or abusive language. A word filter refuses these before the message is sent.
• Harass, threaten, or impersonate anyone, including staff.
• Advertise, spam, or post links to other services.
• Share anyone's personal information, your own included.
• Offer to buy, sell, or trade accounts or in-game items for real money.

Messages that break these rules may be deleted, and accounts may be muted temporarily or permanently, at our discretion. You can report a message from inside the game. Muting a player yourself hides them from your chat and is separate from reporting.

Chat messages are visible to every player and are deleted from our servers after 7 days. Messages that were reported are kept longer so they can be reviewed.

Names

Your in-game name must not be offensive, impersonate another player, or claim to be staff. Names that break this may be removed, and you will be asked to choose another.

Purchases and virtual currency

Gems, gold, and every other in-game item are a licence to use them inside the game. They have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred between accounts.

Purchases are processed by Google Play and are subject to Google's refund policy. We do not process refunds directly. Virtual items may be changed, rebalanced, or discontinued as the game is updated.

If an account is terminated for breaking these terms, any unused virtual currency and items are forfeited.

Fair play

Do not modify the game, tamper with save data, use automation tools, or exploit bugs to gain currency or progress. Accounts found doing so may have progress corrected or be terminated.

If you find a bug that grants an unfair advantage, please report it through the contact form.

Availability

The game is provided as-is. We do not guarantee it will be available without interruption, that saves can always be recovered, or that the game will be supported indefinitely. Online features depend on third-party services and may stop working.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms. You may stop playing at any time, and may request deletion of your account through the contact form.

Changes

These terms may change. The updated date at the top will change and the new version will be posted here. Continuing to play after a change means accepting it.
